Description
Sensory-stimulating and calming chair with balls for children
Protac SenSit® Junior provides children from age 3-10 with a secure and enveloping sensation for the entire body. The chair has balls in the seat, in the back and in the four unique wings. The movement of the balls stimulate the proprioceptive sense and deep touch pressure receptors in the tactile sense. This is achieved through targeted and dynamic point pressures, which has a calming effect on the child’s sensory system and enhances body awareness.
Helping children to self-regulate the level of arousal
The design and size of the ball chair make it easy for children to sit down and get up on their own. They can also independently adjust the sensory-stimulating wings to suit their needs. Many institutions involved in the development of the chair highlight this feature of self-regulation and managing own needs as key benefits from the chair.
Applications
Several childcare institutions, kindergartens, and special needs schools use the Protac SenSit® Junior but is also suitable for regular schools, leisure time care facilities, silent rooms and sensory rooms.

Restless children
It is natural for children to move frequently, but excessive movement can become disruptive. Restlessness is not a behavioral issue but can often be managed by being aware of the child's sensory needs. For some children, restlessness occurs at specific times of the day, while for others, it depends on the context. It is always essential to observe each child's behavior individually and tailor the intervention accordingly.
Sensory-stimulating aids, such as Protac SenSit® Junior, can help regulating the arousal and help the children to better concentration.
