What is inmuDANCE?

An inmuDANCE is a therapeutic sensory tool that plays uplifting, happy music and vibrates with movement. Imagine having your own orchestra in your hands that can play all the instruments at the same time. Movements make the music play. With large and more vigorous movements, the orchestra plays loudly, and with small movements, the music is quieter and less complex. Keep the inmuDANCE still, and the music will quieten and then stop. Move it slightly and the inmuDANCE will start playing again. 

The inmuDANCE is powered by rechargeable battery, which is hidden inside the body of the 'pebble' shaped cushion, with only the charging port visible. The inmuDANCE is encased in a colourful, multi-textured, washable zip-up cover and measures 23 x 20 x 8cm. It weighs approximately 470 grams, making it portable and easy to handle. It has an elastic strap on one side that can be used to attach to the hand, foot, or limb. Its shape, colour, and textures are suitable for all ages from children to elderly. With three different volume levels it can be used in a range of different contexts and settings, and can be adjusted to meet your mood, activity level and environment.  

If required, a hygiene cover is available to cover the inmuDANCE.

Swing, shake, throw or hug inmuDANCE and experience how the music changes. The music and movement create smiles, laughter, a sense of togetherness and connection.

The inmuDANCE plays music is inspired by the world’s music. The music is an eclectic mix, deliberately chosen and considered to be a cross-generational mix of tunes and beats. The inmuDANCE uses AI based music. Advanced software algorithms and patented sensor technology translates movements into music. inmuDANCE plays dance music in 6 different styles. All inspired by classical dance music with energising rhythms such as bosa nova and tango. The music is specially composed for inmuDANCE and is designed to constantly alter and evolve. It is like an orchestra improvising, and ensures that the music is alive and exciting to listen to, making the sounds from inmuDANCE both familiar and novel at the same time.

The inmuDANCE enables those with hearing impairment to experience the music through the vibration. Also a fabulous tool for those who seek sensory input.
