We have a 10 yr old daughter who has been diagnosed with intellectual disability, mental illness, ODD and learning disabilities. The last 10 years have been a challenge day in and day out. For 8 years of this she has had trouble with sleeping, wakes in night and comes into bed with us. As she has got older this is not ok! We have tried many sleep medications they do help but don't keep her asleep. We have behaviour support helping us currently and she suggested we try a weighted blanket...Our daughter now sleeps in her own bed all night and much easier to get to sleep I wish I heard about this 8 years ago. As parents sleep deprivation for us has been a nightmare so this has help our daughter and also helped up get a full night sleep. UNBELIEVABLE!
